Leigh Rothschild

Founder & Owner

Leigh M. Rothschild is the founder and CEO of Patent Asset Management, a company leading the way for inventors and companies to assert and monetization their intellectual property. He is one of the most prolific inventors in the United States, having more than 130 issued patents as a sole named inventor. In fact, as early as the age of only 17, Mr. Rothschild began his prolific inventing, when he conceived of what became his first patent related to quadrophonic music. 

From October 1998 through February 2004, Mr. Rothschild was Chairman and founder of BarPoint.com, a NASDAQ publicly traded wireless information company that was the leader and early creator of connecting symbology, such as barcodes, to the internet. Prior to founding BarPoint, Mr. Rothschild was Chairman and CEO of IntraCorp Entertainment, Inc., a consumer software company with worldwide product distribution. Mr. Rothschild is a former presidential appointee to the High-Resolution Board for the United States under former President George H. W. Bush. He has served at the behest of Governors on technology boards and served as a special advisor to then Florida Secretary of Commerce, Jeb Bush. Mr. Rothschild also served on the IT Florida Technology Board as an appointee of former Governor Jeb Bush. Mr. Rothschild also chairs the Rothschild Family Foundation, which endows outstanding charities and institutions around the world. 

Mr. Rothschild has licensed and sold patents within his own patent portfolio to numerous major Fortune 100 companies around the world including Apple, Intellectual Ventures, General Motors, and Home Depot, just to name a few. His technologies are in use at companies ranging from most major automotive companies, Ebay, the US Department of Commerce, and Citrix. Mr. Rothschild has now set out to assist others like him, who may not have the resources to enforce their own patent rights by assisting other small inventors and companies in licensing and selling their own portfolios.

Nicolle Lafosse

Litigation Manager

Nicolle Lafosse has gained valuable experience on International Commercial Arbitration matters where she provided a sworn declaration at the Texas Bankruptcy Court regarding Honduras law applied to an international commercial arbitration matter. Nicolle has also assisted on domestic litigation matters in the US and Honduras representing cross-border investments, real estate and immigration matters.
Nicolle is a dually-barred attorney in the United States (Washington DC) and Honduras. She graduated from University of Miami in 2018 with a joint JD/LLM degree on International law and earning honorable mention as best speaker of the International Moot Court Program held in Spain. In 2012, Nicolle graduated from Universidad Tecnologica Centroamericana (UNITEC), Honduras. Her proficiency on English and Spanish languages.

Daniel Falcucci Marquardt

Director of Business Development

Daniel Falcucci is the Director of Business Development at Patent Asset Management, LLC. Based out of northeastern Pennsylvania, Daniel takes pride in facilitating business relationships and finding areas of company growth. Danielgraduated from Wider University Delaware Law School with a Juris Doctorate, and is licensed with the Pennsylvania Bar, and as House Counsel in the State of Illinois. 

Daniel has interned at the District Attorney’s office inLackawanna County, Pennsylvania and was the supervising attorney for several years at a post-conviction remedy law firm based in Austin, Texas. Daniel most recently comes from a Business Development role at the personal injury firm, ZindaLaw Group. Now, Daniel is excited to improve and expand on the business operations of Patent Asset Management.

Diane Welby

Intellectual Property Paralegal

Diane Welby is our Intellectual Property Paralegal. She graduated at the top of her class from Boston Business School, with a focus on office administration. Having over twenty-five years of docket management and patent/trademark prosecution experience, from small IP boutiques to large international law firms, she is well versed in all aspects of Intellectual Property Law.

Christina Arias

Paralegal

Christina Arias graduated top of her class with a Bachelors of Arts in Criminal Justice. Upon graduating she took on a career in legal assisting where she gained extensive experience in Condominium and Homeowners’ Association Law as well as pre litigation collection practices. At Patent Asset Management, Christina plays an integral role in coordinating litigation.
